As a web developer, I have been using ESET since 2012 and have consistently been impressed with its performance.
Its detection engine is highly effective at identifying and protecting against malware and other threats, and the sandbox feature helps prevent zero-day attacks. Additionally, the software does exactly what it is intended to do without causing any issues or disruptions.
It does not generate annoying pop-ups or produce false positives, and it does not use a lot of system resources or slow down my computer.
In contrast to other security software, ESET has not caused problems with my Windows system or caused any destruction. Furthermore, the software is well-configured by default, but users can also customize it to their specific needs.
Overall, I'd say I had a positive experience with ESET and highly recommend it for anyone looking for reliable protection for their computer or device.

absolute worst reseller portal out…
absolute worst reseller portal out there. It does not do what it says it can, their support was never able to get my endpoints up update or remove the software. Then they suspended my access to the portal and kept on billing me, even though I could not remove or cancel licenses. They refused to support me until I paid for a product that I proved does not work. Stay away from them

Does exactly what you need it for.
10 years without having any issues with their software.
Doesn't bother you with annoying popups.
Rarely gives a false positive.
Doesn't use much resources.
Doesn't slow down your system (looking at you Norton and McAfee)
Doesn't destroy Windows (Looking at you Norton, McAfee, AVG)

ESET problems
I signed up for ESET security and was hacked in 3 months. You can't talk to any one on the phone. They don't even give an email address. I never had problems with the free antivirus programs. Waste of money

bad payment gateway
i just purchased "ESET Smart
Security Premium" and they cut my money 62$ but they give me error massage, it's Friday i emailed them and there's no answer yet.. i don't have time to waste! i just wanna protect my device to start my online business, i'm not here to get scammed and waste time by your company

highly not recommended if you wanna start a business

It all went well! The only issue I want to raise is that, for a security company, the payment website looks a little cheap - at least it did for me on Firefox. Would recommend to try to fix that for a more trustworthy platform.
Other than that, it worked, my license was renewed so it definintely wasn't a fake :)

Reason for this low rating is that eset seems to think it's ok to tell their customerrs what they can exclude from scanning!! I don't pay for software to be told how to use it.
as far as I can tell that is just lazy programming!. flag everything that moves to make your software look good. lost count how many things eset flags that is not a virus or a threat.
only the likes of free crappy antivirus software use to do that again just to make it look like it was catching viruses others where missing like simple game trainers coming from trusted sources. what a joke.
This software is over priced and over rated it's a shame they use to be the best.

ESET is wonderful!
I have their Internet Security on 4 devices, 2 Windows desktops and 2 Android devices, it works flawlessly, modifying renewals, adding renewals, etc is a breeze.
Their support is effective and efficient, always fixed my issues.
Most of all, their solutions don't eat up resources like most other AV applications do. Runs in the background, does it's job, and keeps performance of system running extremely well.
Been using ESET for ~10+ years and never let down, keep up the amazing work!

Good and Easy
Frequency of friendly reminder e-mails and ordering process for renewal were a pleasure and very user friendly. Also ESET as anti-virus software is great. It protects very well and performance impact of your computer is the smallest of all anti-virus programs

Happy with ESET for years
I selected ESET when PC magazine described it as a superior security system. As a professional book editor I wanted to protect both myself and my clients from malware.
I particularly like the ability to select specific times when updates are shipped so that they don't coincide with my work hours.
I often recommend ESET and stress its flexibility and value in catching and clearing genuinely dangerous malware threats.
Because my tech knowledge is not extensive, it's important to me to have this solid backup.
Being able to have live chat help would be a great addition -- would help me understand the many tech matters, often elemental ones, that I'm not familiar with,
Cannot Uninstall, It still pops up on my screen multiple times a day
My experience with this business was terrible. The main issue is that I have tried & tried to uninstall it & it just doesn't happen. I contacted consumer relations. The representative sent me instructions on "how to remove the software". The info I received was "How to INSTALL ESET"!

Zojuist heeft Robert Jan mij middels een Remote Desktop Connection geholpen om ESET, via de SAFE MODE in Windows, de 'uninstall tool' van ESET te gebruiken om erna de Software opnieuw en vooral volledig te kunnen installeren.
